Rural Sourcing
I read something about this several months ago and found it very encouraging, having personally laid off many individuals and transfered an entire organizational infrastructure to India … When you send work to another country, you not only displace American jobs, you also displace our intellectual ability to compete. Besides the simpler commute, lack of language and cultural barriers, and more amenable time zones, this alternative is cost-effective and better for our economy … also just feels right.
